Previous Projects
- Residential – Reconstruction of 10 residential units alongside the delivery of 5 additional new-build units.
- Mixed-Use – Nine-storey development comprising residential apartments with ground floor retail and commercial space.
- Commercial – Four-storey high-specification new-build office development.
The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Estimator to join their pre-construction team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders across a variety of Commercial, Residential, Hospitality, and Mixed-Use projects. Working closely with the Pre-Construction Director, Commercial Team, and Operational Teams, you will play a key role in securing future projects and supporting the continued growth of the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator looking to work on a diverse range of projects with a contractor that offers genuine career progression and exposure to high-quality developments across London.
Roles & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for Design & Build and traditional construction projects
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to identify project requirements
- Producing accurate take-offs and bills of quantities where required
- Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Assessing project risks and opportunities during the tender stage
- Preparing tender adjudication documents and presenting findings to senior management
- Liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors throughout the tender process
- Supporting value engineering exercises to ensure commercially competitive submissions
- Maintaining and developing strong relationships with key supply chain partners
- Assisting with bid submissions, presentations, and pre-construction meetings
- Monitoring market trends, labour rates, and material costs to ensure competitive pricing
- Supporting handovers to the delivery team upon successful tender awards
- Contributing to continuous improvement within the estimating and pre-construction function
